What Are The Seven Signs of Being Stressed?

In this day and age, stress predominates our lives more than ever. Many of us have loss our jobs, lost our homes, have taken pay cuts or having to take care of our elderly parents.

With this kind of stress in our lives causes physical changes in our mind and body.
Let us look briefly at these changes:

Chronic headaches

The sensation usually begins in the back of the head coming from the head, neck and shoulder area. Usually you can lie down for 10 to 20 minutes and breathe deeply from the abdominal area. If this does not help than take an analgesic or buy a homeopathic remedy for headaches.
In the case of emergency you can always drink some coffee to relieve an immediate headache.

Excessive Sweating

Sweating occurs when under extreme emotional or physical stress. When you are under stress the brain releases a stress hormone in the body that tells it to produce sweat. The chemical released from the brain causes the body to overheat. By producing sweat it allows the body to cools itself down and to release toxins from the body..
Sometimes the bottom of the feet can produce sweat also as a way to release stressful toxins and relieve stress..

A change in eating habits.

This can happen several ways. It depends on your previous eating habits. If you normal eat very little you may begin consuming an increased amount of food. Ie.,ou may begin to crave excessive carbohydrates, sugars and starches. If you are used to eating a lot you may want to not eat anything.

These symptoms vary from individual to individual.

Low Blood sugar

You may become shaky and feel tremors in your muscles. This is usually the cause of low blood sugar. When your body is under stress it releases a chemical that tells the adrenal glands to release the “stress hormones.” The stress hormone tells the pancreas to release insulin which causes a drop in blood sugar causing the shakes and muscle tremors.

Not being able to fall asleep or having difficulty falling asleep.

With all the things that you had to do that day or did not get done you end up with thoughts going around and around in your head.
It is important to take time to unwind before you go to sleep. Take a walk, listen to calming music or read a book.
If there is an item that you did not finish write it down and pick it up the next day.
Create a picture in your mind of you favorite place. On the beach feeling the warm sunshine, hearing the waves or bein out oon your boat fishing. Make it yours. Feel yourself relax.
I often use this technique when I have difficulty falling asleep.

A change in your behavior.

You are normally a calm person but now lose your temper with your co-workers or your loved ones. Before you lose your temper with them count to 10 or take a walk outside before you say something that you cannot take back later. If you are normally outgoing and find yourself withdrawing that is another sign you are under stress.

Changes in the ability to digest your food properly or change in bowel habits.

If you normally do not have digestive problems and now finding that you are having heartburn, gassiness, or diarrhea, this is a good sign that your body is exhibiting stress.
Take time to eat your food slowly and change some food you are eating that are making you gassy. Some foods that make you gassy are, tomatoes, green peppers, cabbage or any vegetable that come from the night shade group.
Learn to take sometime to relax before eating your meals. Taking a walk before eating or 5 deep breathes would be helpful.
If you normally have 2-3 bowel movements a day you bowel movement may increase or you may even become constipated.

These are some physical and mental signs that you are stress out. This is the way I body is trying to get your attention. That you are off-course.
Pay attention to these sign so that you mind and body is able to relax and de-stress so that you can experience optimal health.

Could Fibromyalgia be a Result of Lyme’s Disease?

There is a large amount of speculation out there if this could be true.  There is a pattern emerging that those who have been diagnosed with Lyme’s Disease have similar symptoms to Fibromylagia.

What are the similarities between Lyme’s disease and Fibromyalgia?

They both effect digestion

They both effect joints, muscles and have pain

They both effect brain function

They both attack the immune system

The body is more subjectible to viruses

The spleen is effected in both cases

The Endocrine System has been compromised.

Who is really to say if both of these conditions are related.  There is still so much unknown territory when it comes to fibromyalgia.  Scienctist and practitioners are working diligently to find natural remedies to help those that suffer from these conditions.

Currently scientist are working on remedies that will help these conditions.  Soon there will be a product availible.

You owe to yourself to find the truth.  To set up an appointment  go to www.swfnaturalhealingcenter.com.

Why Detoxification?

I was sitting here thinking about my New Year’s resolutions, especially all the weight gain from all the goodies and inactivity. I began first with a good look in the mirror and realizing that I did not like the way I looked. Particularly that my clothes did not fit and I absolutely refuse to buy bigger clothes. That means that I would have to admit that I have been lazy and enjoy eating just too much. Who me!!
Anyway. The first thing I would have to do is to take inventory of myself and admit that I have failed myself. Yes, I got into the chips and cola and all the bad things. But, Ohhh! They tasted all so good!!!. And now I am paying the price. Any you know what, it is really, Ok. I know what I have done and take total responsibility for it and I know how to fix it. I have known for sometime that I am a stress eater.  Just like you and everyone else juggling work and a business can be quite stressful and this is one of my stress relievers, as well as excercise. Part of weight gain is not only fat but the toxins that have accumulated in my body. Toxins tend to accumulate in the fatty tissue
, especially in the abdomen, buttocks, hips and thighs. You can always tell when you squeeze the skin and you get the orange peel look. What that means is my body was unable to eliminate the fat and toxins as quickly as they accumulated. What I have to do is detoxify.

So what is detoxification? That is the latest buzz word. It is on TV and radio. Detoxification is a process in which the excess fat and toxins are eliminated through the skin, liver, and kidneys . In order to do this these organs have to be in tip top shape. The best way to do this is to go on a detoxification program for 7 days by juicing, eliminating coffee, colas, processed meats, white sugar, red meats and dairy products. Drink minimum 8 glasses of purified water with lemon a day. There is also another option is to go on a formulated detox program or a customized herbal program.

The benefits of detoxification are:

Allows the organs to recuperate and regenerate themselves

Increases energy levels

Improves mental clarity

Helps reduce pain and inflammation

Helps prevent future illness

Slows down the aging process

Accelerates any weight loss program

Helps reduce headaches

Increases blood flow to all the organs

If you are seriously interested in a customized detoxification program than go to my website www.swfnatualhealingcenter.com. And set up an appointment. To Optimal Health and Vitality Naturaldoc

How can Homeopathy Help Me with Fibromyalgia?

I had a client sitting in my office one day, and she asked me the question “How does homeopathy work?”  She  was one of the clients that had been helped numerous times through homeopathy but still did not understand how it works. She had been seeing me for sometime for several health issues and I thought this would be a good time to demystify how homeopathy works, especially in the case of fibromyalgia.  As a fibromyalgia patient you would ask the question “How can Homeopathy help me with my fibromyalgia?’

Homeopathy is a type of science that looks at specific symptom of fibomyalgia patent’s and matches specific symptoms to best matches the overall symptoms.

Homeopathy has been around since the mid 1800’s.  It was first discovered by Samuel l Hahnemann who was a German physician who earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1779.

He was translating a “treatisie of materea medica” when he become fascinated with the passage describing by administering chinona bark , those who developed malaria were relieved by their symptoms. He concluded from this experience that effective drugs must produce symptoms in healthy people that are similar to the diseases they will be expected to treat.  This is known as the “Law of Similar’s.”
Hahnemann and colleagues began to test various substances to determine the types of symptoms they produced.  These results suggested to Hahnemann what the drugs would be useful to treat.  Hahnemann reasoned that doses of these substances that produced overt symptoms would be inappropriate for treatment of diseases with the same symptoms.  Thus he advocated reduction of the dose to infinitesimal levels by multiple serial dilutions of ten or hundred fold .   Soluble compounds or liquids were diluted in alcohol; insoluble materials were serially diluted by blending with lactose.   So the science of homeopathy was born.

Homeopathy is a type of science that looks at your specific symptoms  and matches them to the homeopathic remedy that best fits your symptoms in order to improve the health of whole body.

The pellets are compounded in a lactose base, doses varying from from 6x to 30 x ,  Usually the lower the potency, the more frequency of the dosages.  Results can be seen as soon as a few dosages up to several dosages depending on your vital life force or your health.

The most common remedy used for muscle trauma is Arnica MontanaArnica can be used in herbal form in the form of cream for specific bruising and works on the whole body in homeopathic form.  Arnica works by improving circulation and reducing both emotional and physical trauma in the muscles.  Especially in the case of trauma or accident that brought the onset of fibromyalgia.

Rhus Toxicodendron also known as poison oak.   The herbal and homeoapathic form is used for generalized symptoms that get better with movement.  RhusTox is used to relieve pain in joints and works well with healing and supporting ligaments and joints.

Bryonia is used for when it hurts just to move.  The slightest motion makes the pain worse. When you are  very irritable and grumpy.  Bryonia is indicated when there is a hardness of the muscle groups and headaches are an  occurrence.

Causticum is indicated for soreness, weakness and stiffness of the muscles that is worse from cold and or/overuse.  The  muscles of the legs are contracted, tight and sore with restlessness at night.  The forearms are weak and stiff.

Gelsemium is an all around useful remedy.  It is usually found in flu symptoms and indicated when the your limbs feel heavy, dull and lethargic.  Headaches are in the back of the head and neck and there may be dizziness.

Cimicifuga is the remedy to use when there are spasms in the large muscle groups,  when your body feels sore and bruised all over and there may be twitching and jerking of the muscles.  The spine feels sensitive and there is pain especially in the back, neck and shoulders.

The last remedy is Hypericum.  Many of you may already know it as it being called St. John’s Wort.  It is useful as an anti-depressant, and helpful for anxiety attacks and depression.  This dynamic herb helps heal nerve pain.  It does its job best when there is numbness or tingling of the extremities, or radiating pain from one area to the next.

These sounds all so easy.  I recommended you to a qualified and Board Certified Practitioner to help you with your fibromyalgia symptoms.   I can customize a protocol specifically based on your symptoms. You can schedule and appointment with me at www.swfnaturalhealingcenter.com.
