Ouch! Why Does My Skin Hurt?
This is what I have heard many of my clients say. It literally hurts to touch their own skin. It is almost as if your skin is on fire and hypersensitive. This is one of the many symptoms that is causing your fibromyalgia pain. So what do you do you ask? Let us talk about the causes and what you can do to make your life more comfortable.
So you ask, why does my skin hurt? There are several factors that come into play. The body has reached a point of oversensitivity or hypersensitivity. All the nerves endings are on fire. The body has reached the point where it has been overstimulated. The nervous system, endocrine system and muscular system are on overload. The have reached the highest point of inflammation.
Some of the cause of hypersensitivity are:
* There is a neuroendocrine imbalance
* There is a decreased oxygen supply to the muscles.
* There is a decreased supply of serotonin levels in the brain: resulting in a low pain tolerance.
* A decreased thyroid level in body, eventhough it is not detected by test.
* There is a compromised immune system
* The inability to produce insufficient natural anti-inflammatory hormone
* There is a heightened allergy reponse, causing itching and swelling of the skin.
* Excessive toxic waste in the muscles and tendons.
* A genetic disposition toward fibromyalgia
Each of the above topics are subjects of its own. Today I will be sharing with you about everyday changes in diet and lifestyle to help with fibromyalgia pain relief.
